Attention Pre-k parents: We need your junk to help us with a special project. We are about to begin our fairy tale unit in which we will read some of our favorite fairy tales. Since this is such a creative bunch of kids, we are going to use those skills to make a cardboard castle, costumes, and props for our favorite fairy tales. Please send in any items that will help us create wonderful castles, such as empty snack containers, cardboard boxes, paper cups, etc.
I can't wait to see what they will create!

How many different ways are there to make a snowman?
The recent weather has given us a lot of opportunities to talk about snow. When Mindy and I were admiring all the art in the classroom, we decided to count how many methods we had used to create snowmen. We had shaving cream snowmen (my personal favorite), torn paper snowmen, snowmen from greeting cards in snowglobes, glue snowmen, snowmen painted at the easel, and collage snowmen. Whew! We have been busy!
